My thirteenth week of side hustling happens to be the week of a friday the thirteenth which is kinda epic. It’s also the third week I have generated some revenue!!!! You can find all the details and proof below!

General updates
I officially got accepted into the Amazon Associates program!!! What they do is they let you in prematurely and then if you make a sale they check your account and then decide whether or not to accept you. If you don’t make a sale in 4 months then you’re automatically declined. I guess I made it through wooooh!!!
Blog updates
You guys have probably seen this coming for a while now but I’m officially letting go of my cinnamonrollsinthedough pinterest account. I just have zero motivation to take care of it. I’m not really interested in promoting this blog on pinterest and I’ve come to realize that pinterest is better for beauty, healthcare, fitness, food, etc type of content where you can show some sort of visual. I know that there are some people out there who promote their side hustle or passive income blogs on pinterest and actually get traffic but I don’t think it’s working for me and I’m not willing to put in more effort to try to get it to work lol.
Anyways I’m still trying to get traffic to my other blog via pinterest so I’m not letting go of pinterest completely!
Outfit side hustle updates
This is my second week of just posting things on a regular schedule. I haven’t really been doing that much work at all tbh I probably spent maybe 7ish hours this whole week on the outfit blog.
My subscriber count doubled this week!!! I’m getting some subscribers from the substack app which is an unexpected benefit that I did not think of when I made my free newsletter tutorial. With a normal newsletter account you wouldn’t get exposure unless you yourself put your newsletter out in a group but substack let’s you get discovered by people!
Oh I don’t know why I forgot to say this immediately this week as well but I made $1.73 this week off of my blog!!! This time it really did come from my blog and not from my blog pinterest like last week, which I think is pretty cool. I want to join more fashion affiliate programs but I’ve gotten rejected from all the places that I wish to be affiliated with so I need to wait perhaps two more weeks to try to reapply again.

Passive income doesn’t exist
Unless you were born rich to begin with lol. Anyways it took a lot of upfront work to get to the point that I’m at right now and I would say I’m pretty tech literate too so that even sped up the process. 13 weeks and over 200 hours of work, and I haven’t broke even yet (ie I haven’t made enough money to make up for the costs I spent). I knew this would be the case when I first started, so I’ve been able to avoid getting too demotivated. Also the fact that I’ve made some money at all is kind of crazy to me lol. I honestly thought it would take maybe four months to see anything at all.
Anyways, I guess what I’m trying to say is to make sure when you start out that you are going to enjoy what you’re working on, and to not expect anything major from the get go. It seems kind of obvious I guess but it’s good to get a reminder every now and then.

I’m showing impressions as well this time to show you guys that I got a dip in them in the last week. My viral pin slowed down quite a bit and that’s primarily the cause of the drop. I’m starting to climb up a little though so that’s good! I hope I get another viral pin soon though… You can see also my outbound clicks dropped and I think the culprit is the same here as well.
