Project idea

For my first side hustle project, I’m working on affiliate marketing in the fashion niche with outfit collages! You can see this post for a full introduction to the project.

What I’ve been up to

I’ve been posting content on a regular schedule. I also just recently added a new section to the blog which I am working on getting up to speed.

I gained only one subscriber to my newsletter this month, which I was kind of disappointed about. I recently started promoting my newsletter on the Instagram account for the blog and I hope as the account grows I will get more subscribers. As of now I have 16 subscribers.

I reapplied to the affiliate programs I got rejected from andddd got rejected again. I am a bit disappointed but I will try again next month and see what happens. I also reached out to pinterest to see why my pins aren’t getting as much attention as I expect them to, considering that they’re outfit collages they should do well, but they haven’t responded yet. One of my outfit collages was doing really well and then it stopped, and none of my other outfit collages have taken off since. I will probably file another support request. I’m debating doing promoted pins but I think I’m going to hang on to that idea for a bit. If I do I will probably try it on a very tight budget like maybe a dollar a day for ten days and see if that does anything.

My plan for this month

This month I am going to apply for more affiliate programs besides the ones that I got rejected from (and I will reapply to those as well). I haven’t got around to making a list of fashion affiliate programs since I haven’t really joined any besides Amazon, so I want to work on that a bit more.

I will continue to make posts according to my schedule routine, and focus a bit more on social media and marketing. I also want to fill out my new blog section.

Did I hit last month’s goals?

I hit 1 out of 4 of my goals! I actually exceeded my expected follower count on Instagram- I was aiming for 10 but I have 17 as of today. I made one affiliate sale instead of two. I also did not get in to any affiliate programs and I only gained one subscriber to my newsletter instead of 15 like I intended. I guess 15 was overkill lol.
