Ok we are testing a new weekly recap format lol. I’ve divided the recap into sections where each section corresponds to a project that I’m working on and I will update each separately.

Posted one blog post today about how to bulk upload pins on pinterest. It actually turned out to have quite substantial material, I’m proud of it. It has been pretty slow for my website though, I’m not really seeing any traffic. I want to start adding more journal based posts to my blog- stuff about what I’m doing personally with my side hustle projects. Like an expanded weekly recap! As of now it’s mostly just technical advice which can be a bit dry sometimes.

I didn’t post an episode this week because I switched up my scheduling so I haven’t seen any improvements which is to be expected. I am, however, now able to see analytics hehe.

Pinterest Account #1 (promoting website and podcast)
My pinterest has been doing pretty well this week actually, even though I haven’t been posting that much. I’ve been trying to focus more on quality pins and I write all the pin titles and descriptions myself instead of using an AI tool, so I think that has contributed well. I also have been designing my own pins instead of using a template from canva. Some of my pins that are 2-3 weeks old randomly got spikes and hit over 200/300 impressions which was surprising.

Pinterest Account #2 (direct affiliate link pins)
This is my second attempt, well actually my third, at doing direct affiliate link marketing. I made this account yesterday so there are still no stats. The other account I made yesterday also got shut down basically immediately but I think I figured out the issue. It was probably because I uploaded two .csv files when I was bulk uploading my pins, and I should have done only one. Anyways, I’m trying out my hypothesis and my account has survived the day so we shall see how long it lasts.
Pinterest Account #3 (outfit collages with tagged affiliate products)
I basically revamped my personal pinterest account for this one. I already had around 810 followers, but my monthly views have been pretty low since I rarely posted anything. I like to make outfit collages so I’ve been making those and adding tagged amazon products to the outfit collage pin so that if someone wants to copy the outfit they can get the stuff for it. I just started doing this four days ago and I can see a bit of a spike in my stats :). I’m kind of curious to see if this will do better or worse than my second account. The one thing though is that if someone clicks on the products I tagged, pinterest won’t register it as an outbound click.

Same old same old. Still have one member and 4 public visits. None of my posts have more than 1 impression.
Medium
I’ve been posting my medium articles to r/Medium and r/MediumApp and that has boosted my stats a bit! I’m also doing a “you like my post I’ll like yours” type of thing with someone from reddit which is nice. I know it’s not like a “real” view but it makes me happy regardless so I’ll take it! Using reddit has basically doubled my views and reads from last week.

Some of these clicks are just me so I’ve promised myself not to click on my links from now on lol.
I’m glad I started posting on reddit I feel like it gives me more reach. Obviously I’m not just spamming subreddits, I don’t even have enough karma to post on most subreddits :(. But it’s fun to interact with people in the comments and I even gave someone advice on how to view their pinterest analytics and it worked for them so I felt useful. I’m not really sure how one gets karma anyways but here is what my stats look like so far:
